Christ knew that by his thoughts and actions he could guarantee his own resurrection by being sinlessly obedient unto death. That made it legally possible for God to keep His promise of resurrecting Christ, who was without sin and therefore did not deserve death, the “wages of sin.”
These books, written by people from diverse backgrounds, express the simple truth that God is one. Some of them are more scholary while others are more autobiographical. Here the holy spirit is being used as a means of communication by the Lord. I might say, ‘The radio said that there is going to be rain today.’ Do you conclude from this that the radio is a person? Or that a person is utilizing this mode of communication?
